We can also undertake chemical and strength analysis of the laminate structure through a certified testing laboratory. Our extensive expertise in composite materials can also be used for evaluating design or repair proposals.
Our composites engineer is highly experienced in the design, construction and repair of all types of composite marine structures. He is the author of the highly acclaimed reference work, Marine Composites.
Utilizing one of our certified fire investigators, we can perform an in-depth analysis to determine the cause and origin of shipboard explosions. Fire is one of the most destructive forces. It can consume most everything in its path. To an untrained eye the destruction appears total, but to a trained fire investigator the ash and rubble contain valuable clues to the cause and origin of most fires.
Fires aboard a ship or recreational boat pose unique problems determining a fire's cause and origin. They contain large quantities of flammable liquids and multiple sources of ignition as well as different types of internal combustion engines, generators, pumps, motors, and batteries. Also, the shape and arrangement of compartments aboard a boat affect the propagation of the fire. Our technical staff specializes in investigating marine fires and has participated with the NFPA 921 committee in writing the Marine Chapter of this guide to fire investigation.
